THREE INSTRUCTIONAL DESIGNS/MODELS OF INTEGRATING TECHNOLOGY IN A LESSON
–The ASSURE Model is an ISD (Instructional Systems Design) process that was modified to be used by teachers in the regular classroom The ISD process is one in which teachers and trainers can use to design and develop the most appropriate learning environment for their students. This process can be used in writing lesson plans and in improving teaching and learning.
–The Substitution-Augmentation-Modification-Redefinition (SAMR) Model offers a method of seeing how computer technology might impact teaching and learning. It also shows a progression that adopters of educational technology often follow as they progress through teaching and learning with technology.
–The TPACK Framework builds on Shulman’s (1987, 1986) descriptions of PCK to describe how teachers’ understanding of educational technologies and PCK interact with one another to produce effective teaching with technology.
